Danang calls for investment in high-tech park

Danang City on Friday released a plan to develop Danang high-tech industrial park and called for local and foreign investors to join the project.

The park will cover 1,400 hectares in Hoa Vang District and become home  to high-tech production, research and development, logistics,  residential and office areas, and supporting industries.
\"We want to attract all companies that use high technologies in  production, not just high-tech research or information technology,\"  said Lam Quang Minh, director of Danang Investment Promotion Center.

Speaking at the investment promotion conference at the Furama Resort,  Minh told over 300 delegates of enterprises and organizations from the  U.S., Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea that Danang also expected to  mobilize well-trained human resources in and outside the country for  scientific research and production.

Domestic experts during the conference introduced to foreign investors  conveniences of Danang high-tech industrial park. Investment in the  high-tech sector will also enjoy the Government\'s preferential tax  policies such as value added, corporate income, export and import  taxes.  The city will gather opinions of investors, officials, and scientists  in the conference to work out the project.

\"We have made much efforts to improve infrastructure like transport,  water and electricity system, and the local government will cover  expenses on site clearance and resettlement,\" said Danang City\'s  chairman Tran Van Minh.
