Ho Chi Minh City will allocate 8,524 apartments, land for resettlement
With 13,930 apartments and resettlement land currently unused, Ho Chi Minh City will allocate 8,524 apartments and land for resettlement for 460 urban refurbishment projects; 5,406 apartments and the remaining land will be auctioned and recovered to the state budget.
This is the information confirmed by Mr. Tran Trong Tuan, Director of Construction Department of Ho Chi Minh City at the results report on the effectiveness of management and use of land resources in the city in 9th Session, at the People's Council in Ho Chi Minh City on June 11th afternoon.
According to Mr. Tran Trong Tuan, in order to serve the renovation and urban development, the city has invested and built 40,052 apartments and land to serve the resettlement for people who have houses, land recovered.
Up to now, the city has arranged 26,122 apartments and land, remaining 13,930 apartments and land put into service. In order to handle the number of unoccupied apartments and land, the city will allocate 8,524 apartments and land for resettlement for 460 urban refurbishment projects; 5,406 apartments and the remaining land will be auctioned and recovered to the state budget.
According to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, there are more than 927 ha of unused land in the city. It is necessary to review and determine the location of unused land plots and land plots so that they can be planned for use. The land is allocated to the conditions and location of each land area to suit the socio-economic development needs of the area in order to raise the efficiency of land use.
For houses and land owned by the state, up to now, the city has 41 houses, land has not recovered should be paid attention to accelerate progress, in which the central block is 13 addresses with a total area of 158,974 m2, the city has 28 addresses with a total area of 58.063m2.
Speaking at the meeting on July 11, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said that in the next time, the city performs fair and equitable land management of five big solutions: accelerating the conversion of 26,000ha agricultural land to industrial, service and urban land; To manage houses and land on the principle of publicity, transparency, thrift and wastefulness, abide by the market mechanism and auction of public land lots; To equitize enterprises to ensure the right use of houses and land; Undertaking and reviewing, proposing the Central of compensation and ground clearance in the direction of quick and harmonious benefits; To intensify the inspection and examination in the management of the use of houses and land and strictly handle violations.
